Sun damage even though standing in shadow
There's a rock at one of the entrances to the spider cave, which renders a shadow, but doesn't count as a shadow. See the sun ray in the screenshot even though I'm standing in the shadow. I even received the damage when standing there longer.

EmpI have had this same experience as well. The game has done an incredible job overall about shadows but this is may be the only one that has caused me issues.

KabanzaiI've seen this a few times. I found that (medium) shadows render it but high didn't have as many fakes. Low had none at all.

Immanis MergedTitle is all. Standing in the big spiky shadows like right next to the tree near the exit to Ungora's cave do not provide protection from the sun

Jim RaitheThere are a few places I have seen this.
Or if you ride/run under thinner shadows at speed (that would count as Shadow cover had you stopped) the server tick doesn't always count that you've been under a Shadow and continues to escalate the Sun Exposure debuff. -
