Castle Heart Minimum Distance
When setting up a new game, changing the variable "CastleMinimumDistanceInFloors": 2, from the standard 2 to a 1 does not result in castle borders/hearts being allowed to get any closer to each other, even though the variable can go down to 1. I've tested this out in games and 1 and 2 are exactly the same distance from each other.
Changing the number to anything above 2 does make it so you have to have that minimum distance between them, but again, 1 and 2 are treated exactly the same in game.

Ben MergedREPORT: Castle Space Limit of 1
When did the issue start?
Placing two castles next to each other
What happens?
The server setting explicitly states the minimum distance from "enemy" castles, but with allies or even your own castles you are forced to have a gap between your territory. Either the wording is wrong or the code is wrong.
Have you modified your game files or installed any mods?
No
Can the devs reproduce the issue?
Give yourself two hearts and see there is a forced gap between them
Have you tried any solutions?
There is no known work around for this.
-Verify files: Steam > Right click on V Rising > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files
-Please try restarting your PC
Yes, I've done this.
Official / Public non-official / Private, all versions of the game

JensThis setting doesn't work either, you can try to lower it to 1, but the game still requires a minimum of 2 tiles distance. We should be able to lower it to 0 or let clan members/yourself build joined castles both works, although the latter option of friendly castles being able to be joined is preferable as well.. We all know how people on the public servers love to block off your castle so you can't get in/out.

MushroomBender MergedWe tried to set the minimum distance between two castles from 2 to 0 (and even 1) and it is not working unfortunately. I can understand if it's not easy to implement, but it would be awesome to have the ability to "fusion castles" for an oversized one :)

Mathew Bankuti MergedThe Value range is 1 to 10.
But 1 is not working.
I host a popular server at the moment. Its not working on there.
Neither is it working on any private server I start. -

DahliaHi. I'm here for the same thing. I am working on a creative building server and the goal is to be able to build multiple castles together to be shown on Twitch and YouTube for their incredible style and designs. I have set the CastleMinimumDistanceInFloors setting to 0. It saves as 0 and stays as 0. In game the separate castle borders remain 2 squares apart anyways. Please fix! :)

Kenneth OpdahlHaving the same issue, this makes it annoying when two players are building in the same "area" (one castle on a top ledge and another players castle on the lower edge.) unless you only have one heart.
