VBlood Disappears Mid-Battle
I was in the middle of fighting the Frostbringer when I was just suddenly no longer in combat and he was nowhere to be found, and I was no longer tracking him.

ashlamptrayThis happens often to me with wandering V Bloods. You'll be in the middle of combat and they'll run away to get back on their movement track and regen all their health in a few seconds. They move pretty quickly, so it's difficult to catch up to them in time to continue combat, especially if they were far away from where they were supposed to be outside of combat. Regular wandering enemies do it as well, but don't regain all their health.

BIOSMonkey MergedPatrolling vbloods have an invisible tow "leash" that they follow (and represents the center point of their aggro/reset circle). When the boss is engaged, the leash KEEPS MOVING, invisibly, even while the boss is actively fighting.
Eventually, the leash gets too far away from the boss, causing the boss to reset and run back to catch up to it. If anything happens that makes this fight last awhile (you are undergeared, or the boss is particularly beefy, or you get patrol adds that join in etc), this reset inevitably happens when either you or the boss or both are nearly dead. Then you get to watch the boss run away and fill its health bar, because it has somewhere else to be.
To solve this problem, it is suggested that the invisible leash PAUSE from moving at the point they were engaged as long as the fight continues. Then, while the fight happens, normal aggro reset rules then apply (meaning things stop only when one of you is dead, OR you run far enough from the PAUSED location -

KWhat I find problematic in these situations is that the boss gets all of it's hitpoints back, while my character is left with all of his hitpoints gone. Not to mention that the sun probably rose, because the fight lasted all night, sometimes because the boss keeps running away. Would be better if the boss kept fighting until the player character is either finished or scared away.
