Text/font renders with semi-transparent background

Starting from when I first installed the game, some text characters render with a semi-transparent background behind them. It does not affect all text.

I've tried restarting the game, restarting my computer, verifying game files, and turning all the graphics to low. Reducing the display resolution causes more font to have the issue..

An interesting example is that horse name-tags are affected by this bug at max zoom distance, but the background fades away as I bring my camera in closer.

Clean install and updating graphics driver had no effect

The same thing happens to me. It also happens to me on the screen of the missions for my servants.

Happened after Patch 0.5.42050 for me as well. Seems no gaming issue, but just a graphical issue until fixed
