  mine has the same problem when creating the character the game just closes by itself

  REPORT:
  Issue started after the Gloomrot update. Last attempt to play was early May with no issues.
  
  Upon trying to load into a server or a private game for the first time to create a character, it gets stuck at various points of the loading screen.
  The first time, it crashed half way through warming shaders.
  The second time, it crashed at around "Loading 8/11".
  Now, it just gets stuck at "Initialising".
  
  Left clicking anywhere crashes the game. Not clicking anything doesn't do anything, but the game is stuck.
  
  I am not using any mods.
  I have verified local files on Steam.
  I have uninstalled and reinstalled the whole game.
  I have tried lowering graphics settings to low (previously worked fine on high).
  I have reset my PC.
  I have entered burstenabled 0 into the console.

  Same thing. Just after loading, I don't have time to see the character creation, the game closes.

  I'll be using google translator because I'm Brazilian, and I don't know a second language.
  Well before the 05/17 update, V Rising started normally, after today I'm on an infinite loading screen, and when the game finally loads, I go to the character creation part (as shown in the image) and then the game closes automatically.
  I've already reinstalled, I've updated drives, I've moved the game to the SSD, I've changed the graphics, I've done everything that could be done, and it's giving the same error.
  The problem is not my computer, my computer supports heavier games like: World of Warcraft, The Elder Scrolls Online, Red Dead, Diablo 4, GTA and etc.
  Please help me, it's clear that this is a bad optimization of the game. And an error that does not come from me.

  Please play the game and repeat what you did before to make it crash. Then send these to [email protected]:
  
  -The **Player.log** file from the session where the issue happened (located here:` %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising` )
  -The **Player-server.log** file from the session where the issue happened if you are the server host (located here: `%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising` )
  -The **.dmp** file generated if there was a crash (located here: `%appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\backtrace\crashpad\reports` )
  
  For each file, just copy/paste the path (example: %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising) in your File Explorer to find the file.

  Had the same issue, i guess i worked it out just now by deleting the old servers from the history list and joined the game again. I was crashing when i tryied to join any servers in the character creation.

  I’ve been playing this game since the beginning I wanted my friend to try it out. I was telling him how much fun it is and everything then this happened Me and my friend haven’t been able to play the game since the first big update we both crash when we get to the character creation we tried everything private server dedicated servers same thing my friend did buy the skins/DLC just to have them, but he refunded them now no point to have DLC if you can’t even play the game but because we haven’t been able to play since this update came out. Hopefully you fix it soon so we can lease play the new update.

  I managed to play one day 7 hours. I played on May 19, on May 20 I could no longer log in.
  i couldn't connect to any server, i get kicked out after all downloads at character creation time, no error messages. just throws out.
  I tried to check the computer too, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, cleaned the system, lowered all the characteristics in the game to the minimum. nothing happens, it just crashes.
