Exlia MergedSince the Gloomrot update, I can't play the game at all. For both private and public servers it always gets to around 600~ on the prewarming shaders part of the load screen then pauses with nothing happening, followed shortly by a crash. I have almost 700 hours on the game and was able to play perfectly fine before the update.

REPORT:
The issue started right after the "Secrets of Gloomrot"-Update.
I was able to play the game before.
The game loads just fine, until it reaches the "Prewarming Shaders" part.
Even after hours of waiting it just stays at (0/1).
I haven't modified my game and use it as it is installed.
Solutions I have tried:
- Verified my files on Steam
- Deinstalled and Reinstalled the game
- Started it with and without antivirus
- Started it online and offline
- Set the graphics very low
- Restarted my PC
- Updated my graphic driver and my Windows
I'm playing solo on a private server. I use the "LAN"-option and also use the option to play alone. -

TeraI don't know if this is the same issue as the original report doesn't have any details.
I get stuck at "prewarming shaders: 950/xxxx" and I've checked my system that it's still meeting requirements, uninstalled and reinstalled the game, deleted files from the file manager and reinstalled the game, deleted all my old saves, verified file integrity from Steam, and of course, turned my computer "off and then on again" (queue IT Crowd gif here)
It happens no matter how I attempt to start a new game, whether from an invite to a friend's server, or even starting my own server (I've even tried the LAN server setting for offline) hosting and it does the same exact thing each time. Getting very frustrated as my friends are building bases and leveling up while I sit on my thumbs. -

My issue also started after the Gloomrot update and yes, I was able to play prior. I have since tried copying files from a user who has verified that they are able to run the game and still get stuck at shader 950.

TeraTried again after the patch and still no luck.
I used to run 1 mod, but removed it before attempting to load the Gloomrot update. -

Finn MergedAfter I found out your new DLC has released, so I installed it. And ready to play it. But at the loading part it doesn't work at the loading part. I restarted games several times but it is forever delaying it at loading part.. Please fix this as quick as possible!!

NoLife2Lose MergedAfter the most recent patch, joining a usual Official server causes the game to freeze up on load. This persists through game restart / computer restart. Getting to (10/11) happens as it should, timely in normal loading fashion however I am unable to progress beyond that and it has been allowed to sit like that for up to 30 mins. As per suggested in the discord, it appears the no-vfx-test branch circumvents this.

When did the issue start? Yesterday Were you able to play the game before? I have just bought the game so never played it prior unfortunately.
What happens? When I start the game it for some reason it skips the intro cinematic and goes into the starting loading screen for an infinite ammount of time, the game does not crash, but nothing happens(pic attached), sometimes it does load after 5ish minutes until the end of the line but still it stays there on the loading screen.
Have you modified your game files or installed any mods? No
Have you tried any solutions?
-Verified files on steam
-updated GPU drivers/audio drivers/windows 10 latest update
-reinstalled the game
-shared log files to: [email protected]
-installed to a different drive
-multiple compatibility settings for startup: administratior, fullscreen optimisations etc...
Can the devs reproduce the issue? unsure

TeraY'ALL, I FIXED IT! Make sure your drivers are up to date!
I found mention of a work-around on the V-Rising Discord in the NVIDIA graphics settings. So I went to the GeForce experience to see what my drivers were doing, and whether the work around would fix my problem. Turns out that the most recent driver update had failed, and I don't know how many others since last June or so. Manually clicking on the install button didn't work either, so I went out to https://www.nvidia.com/download/index.aspx to do a fresh install of both driver and Experience.
The next time I created a new game in V Rising I was able to get to character creation! No work around needed! -

Have you tried any solutions? I tried 'Prewarming Shaders 0' on console, the game gets stuck at loading (10/11), even after the hotfixes. I was only able to play the game thanks to a discord user called VMColonel, who kindly advised me to Disable the Shader Cache Size under my NVIDIA Settings.
-Verify files: Steam > Right click on V Rising > Properties > Local files > Verify integrity of game files
-Please try restarting your PC - I have tried.
For server issues, is the server Official / Public non-official / Private? - No issues.
