Server List Visibility Bugged
Hello, having an issue as well discussed with other server owners facing the same, some servers are apparently not showing on the list correctly, despite correct settings.
The case is, servers that ONLY list if:
- "Empty Servers" box is ticked.
- A steam friend is already playing on it.
Refer to screenshots as example with the The Bacons server. If the Empty is unticked the server does not show despite the Dedicated tick that the server is tagged as. That's how I have been able to get people to join the server without Direct IP, so I can only assume something is not behaving as intended when servers get are getting listed but do not show up where they should.

MaxAs an update to this, even on the "continue" menu where the server is saved, if a steam friend is not on it it will not respond with the query status/details of the server. While this is the case the server will list and respond with its status and details correctly like shown on the screenshot, global list with the empty option ticked.

KronusBossIn my case, it's intermittent. My server only showed up once, but I had to check for empty servers. Now it's not showing anymore.

dijulaI am also experiencing this issue.
Today after updating to Gloomrot with SteamCMD, my server is not listed in the global listing in Steam, including following the recommendation of looking outside the game in the Steam Server Browser via Steam -> View Servers -> Game Filter = V Rising. There are 9143 servers listed, and I am able to connect to my server in the LAN IP, as well as friends are able to connect directly at my WAN IP.
The server is running on ports 2015 and 2016 and I have opened my firewall accordingly.
The Steam API check here does show my server: https://api.steampowered.com/ISteamApps/GetServersAtAddress/v0001?addr=<<my-ip-address>>
I am looking at logs but nothing stands out. Within the VRisingServer.log there are positive notes about connecting to Steam on a P2P_STUIN_ServerList something or other, but the server isn't showing for me or my friends. -

KnightArchI can confirm this behavior as a bug with the filter option and the extended version of this on the "continue" recent played server list as showing "not responding" regarding the server is online and responding. This bug is persisting for ages and is not exclusive to the new update Gloomroot.

AfyerCuI have also encountered the same bug. Before the update, my server could be displayed in the list normally, but after the update, all the servers I opened disappeared from the list. I have enabled ListOnSteam and ListOnEOS in the new configuration file, as well as the display server settings that were previously enabled. I confirm that the Steam link is normal because I can enter the server ID provided to me by Steam when I open it, and also enter the address to enter the server. In addition, the Steam API mentioned by my friend before can also query my server. However, when I use Wireshark to capture packets, the length of the content does not return any information about my server when the game queries the server list. The following information can be provided: My server IP is 222.187.254.56 and the name is PolarTest. I hope to get help and thank you very much.

REPORT:
I cannot see my server from the join game screen, but other people outside my LAN can.
I have both the "ListOnSteam" and "ListOnEOS" set to true. I can see my server on the steam server list in steam, and other people can see my server in join game and can play.
Have you tried any solutions?

Binary443 MergedI am currently having an issue with my servers not showing up on the Masterlist within VRising. Before the expansion all of my servers showed up without any issues. Ever since then, none of them will show up. I've tried using different ports and everything, also I even have EoS and Steam set to true within the settings. I see my servers and any new servers on the Steam server list also I can see them on battlemetrics, not to mention I can also direct connect to them without any issues. Another thing I have noticed is, if I am to direct connect then they always show up on the masterlist when you search for them but not before the direct connect. The best part about this is, I bought hosting services through a GSP just to see if it even had to do with my stuff just for giggles and the servers show up right away even with a search.
I feel like GSP's have priority over those who self host is what this seems like at this point. Please fix this. Thank you! -

ZallestialStill issues with todays update.
Using ingame settings that should in theory load all 9000+ V Rising-servers steam says are online.
Order by: Recommended(whatever that means exactly?), loads 686 servers.
http://www.zalamander.se/v_recommended.jpg
Order by: Players, loads 1159 servers.
http://www.zalamander.se/v_players.jpg
Order by: Name, loads 1612 servers.
http://www.zalamander.se/v_name.jpg
V Rising servers online according to steam server list. 9664 servers
All 5 dedicated servers I currently have up are in the list.

I was running one of the servers(SOLO) before the update and it worked fine then.
Tested every setting I can think of in hostsettings json.
Only one thing left to try now, is to shut down all servers and just run that one again, in case this issue is caused by multiple servers on same IP. -

ZallestialUpdate:
Tried hosting only one server on the same machine/IP. Still not working.
Tried changing port on the server to force a new listing. Still not working.
Tried re-adding the "ListOnMasterServer" setting, Still not working.
Discovery:
In game server list will keep refreshing in loading in more servers when either turning a filter on and off(like, show password protected) or typing something in search and erasing it again.
Yet even after doing this and reaching a higher number than the steam list it self says are running. Server still won't show up. Even tho it shows just fine in steams own server list.

AbbotI have an issue where my dedicated server is showing in the server list but I am the only one who can join. My Friends are only able to join through steam if I am already in the server. I am hosting the server on a PC on my local network. I have forwarded all ports correctly. This only seems to be happening since the GloomRot update

VMColonel#4364In order to compare the list in Steam (some 9000 servers) one should enable the following filters:
a) "Empty Servers"
b) "Full Servers"
c) "Password Protected"
WORK AROUND:
In order to get the list closer to the list we see in steam (some 9000 servers) one can toggle any of the above filters("Empty Servers", "Full Servers", or "Password Protected") and the list of servers will be APPENDED to, until eventually you will actually get MORE servers than what steam shows, do note that for me, this took about 10 minutes of clicking, so it is not ideal, nor expected that a user would do this, but to demonstrate the issue.
