I noticed that after some time while playing game starts laggy a lot, like I want to put in stash something and I can't since game is laggy and overall game works worse (less fps etc.)

As the title says, I've noticed my framerate dropping from a solid 120+ to as long as a consistent 50. It gradually decreases over time until the game is practically unplayable. Restarting the client fixes it temporarily but the process starts again.

I'm running Windows 10, i9 9900K, RTX 2080.

GPU and VRAM usage are within margin of error when the client is started and when the framerate has dropped (~90 minutes into playing.)

CPU and RAM usage show no unusual behaviour either.

Apologies for the vagueness, hopefully somebody else has had a similar experience and can spot something.

My guess is that there are some resources, i.e. game objects, that are not properly being released/cleaned up over time.

I have the same issue and it's fixed by restarting game every now and then.

I noticed from multiple players that there is a large performance decay when u play for a couple mnts / hours u loose about 50% of ur fps and u need to restart the game.

Same, at first I get over 100 fps in base and then it goes down to about 40-50.

I know if you have Sonarworks running and you put the system to sleep, and on wake the app crashes but the sound device is still set to the Sonarworks... Over time your FPS will drop, and it will become unplayable. I am wondering if it's audio related here as well.

Same here. Fps starts at 90 and degrades over time. I noticed that it degrades faster since I've layed my castle floor. In a mather of hours my fps drops below 50, sometimes as low as 39 fps at the end of a long session. Worst thing is that I can not restart when ever I want because my server is getting full all of the time. Kinda weird that this issue is that aparent on my machine aswell.

Report: After the new patch on May 31st, if my client has been open for more than 1h (not exact 60mins, but after a bit i'm playing) i get really big stutter problems every time i have to load a new UI or some spells i have not seen in that session come to play. Bosses or players are almost impossible to take after this problem happens, since the client will freeze for 3-5s to load all the assets (i guess).
The problem shows up even if i have to load the OPTIONS UI.
I have a good performance pc, and i've tried optimizing every bit from the NVDIA control panel (followed a guide online) and i've tried low graphics, lower resolution, full screen esclusive.

From a task manager point of view i've noticed that the game usually caps at 3500-3700 MB on RAM usage, but for some reason after some time (1h or more) the game starts loading more and more, and i've reach 5000+MB, but when i reach 4400 or more i get really big lags...

i start with 100 fps (RTX 4080) and fall down to 25-35 fps after playing a while. restart set it back to 100 fps... feeling like in the backround there is something filled haha.. hope this will get fixed soon!

I have a 10850k, a 3080 and 32gb of ram and im getting 30-60 fps with a average of 40. On friday when I last played I was getting around 90-120 but after a while it went down to 60 until I restarted. I know there is a performance problem right now with memory leaking but 40 fps all the time without being able to fix it just isnt playable.
I have my drivers and windows updated to the latest updates and still cant get the fps to go up. If anyone has any ideas I would love the help lol

I can confirm this. I've been playing for about 2 hours the other night and left the game running for about 3 more hours. When I came back to it, it was sitting at ~27fps. Then again last night, I was playing for about 4 hours, and during the fourth hour the game started degrading in performance gradually. No apparent connection to any of the computer resources.

FPS drops over time from over 90 to under 30 sometimes. I assumed it is my pc issues (overheating and throttling) but it is not. Changing the game settings doesn't change anything. Have to restart the game to bring the FPS back up and stop the game from being laggy

Report: The longer I play the game, the less FPS I have. When I start the game I have usually around 60 FPS. After about 2 hours my FPS is cut in half. Restarting the game helps, but I have to do it repeatedly to restore my FPS.

I see on https://blog.stunlock.com/secrets-of-gloomrot-known-issues/ that the developers stated "We have not been able to reproduce this issue on demand, but we recommend regular game restarts as a temporary solution."

i seem to notice that when i start the game i start at 60 fps it slowly goes down and becomes worse. i checked my storage space and yep i had 10gb space left and when vrising was open it went down eventually to 500 mb. at that point my entire pc has trouble and starts to lag out. please check up on any memory leak :).

I used to have 80 fps before gloomrot, now around 30 with a lot of spikes, restarting helps a little but still mostly becomes unplayable at times, but I run gta 5 very smoothly, and cyberpunk decently

i'm having this issue massively, going from 70-80 fps at launch to 27-35 fps after barely half an hour of play time, not only that but getting micro stutters and freezes consistently after latest update in side the castle especially in object dense areas.

severe fps drop from 100-120 all the way down to 30 and sometimes even less than 10, extreme stuttering and fps based freezing and locking up of the game. It can take anywhere from a few seconds to over several minutes for the game to stop losing it's marbles and resume function again. Denser areas such as cursed woods, gloomrot, and farbane at times cause the most stuttering and fps based lag, especially when using a waygate to any of the said locations. Also noticed that Quite a few of the spells also contribute to freezing and locking up of the game when said fps is having severe trouble ( major spells i've noticed are and aren't limited to, all barrier spells (frost, chaos, unholy, etc.), bloodrite (depends of situation), veil of blood (nova augment specifically), Chaos spells that use jewels that produce and explosion upon consuming ignite, void, unholy spells that create a form of explosion from jewels, frost spell explosions, And Many of the v bloods that create many particles.

Having the same issue! I start at around 90+ fps, after a few hours it drops down to 45~50 fps. This indeed points towards a memory leak of some sort. The `UnloadUnusedAssets` command in-game also doesn't help.

No pattern discerned so far but it happens less often when I limited frame rate from unlimited to 90 FPS. It's happened during combat, when doing various castle stuff or just travelling the world doing nothing other than walking. The game completely stops responding at the last rendered frame, no crash dump is generated and I can't generate a memory dump via the task manager. Music continues playing for a while so it seems like it's the graphics driver failing.

Been playing for a few hours after the hot fix. Still experiencing major frame loss after playing and roaming about. Game is currently using 50% of my 32gb of RAM.
