The api /metrics has some configuration error

I want to use the /metrics from the api to get some game stats into my prometheus
I can see the metrics from an http GET to the <vr_server>:<api_port>/metrics
But when I configured prometheus scrape to this endpoint i get the following error
`invalid metric type "ai_paths_active_state=\"success\"} gauge"`
Have you tried any solutions?
I dont find any solution for this problem
