Pistol not proccing veil of illusions jewel effects

When a jewel for the veil of illusions travel spell that has the effect of making your next primary attack give 1-4 stacks of phantasm or consume weaken to give shield is equipped, the next primary attack from pistols after using the veil of illusions travel spell will not trigger these effects.
The effects trigger properly when using a crossbow’s primary attack.

ZThis is also the same with the Veil of Storm, it does not proc the stun.

REPORT:
I tested this for 3 different jewels for different travel abilities and also the Cyclone jewel that consumes static to charge your next primary attack. The 3 travel abilities I tested were the Veil of Storm jewel effect that causes the next primary to inflict fading snare, the Veil of Frost effect that causes the next primary to consume chill to inflict freeze, and the Veil of Bones effect that causes the next primary to inflict agony if they are affected by condemn. I tested them with both slashers and pistols and they worked fine on slashers but didn't work on pistols. The Cyclone jewel effect did work for both weapons, however, so the problem only applied to the travel abilities for me.
