Kiz Admin PinnedGreetings Ephais,
Thank you for your report and we apologize for the inconvenience that this has caused you. Rest assured that we are here to provide a resolution.
- Please note that this is caused by antivirus and can be fixed by turning off the antivirus or making an exception for the game files.
- Antivirus white-listing is also in progress so that the antivirus will not quarantine the game files in the future
Hope this information helps! -

RougeVermineExact same thing happened to my partner and I. I tried to make a custom server, the server was loading and suddenly the message "SERVER ERROR" appeared and kicked me out. Then the option to launch a private game got greyed out. My gaming desktop can run a game like V Rising easily, so it shouldn't be a problem with specs.

Funny thing is, my partner was able to launch a private server. So it's not a problem with internet, or our provider. -

DopersHad the exact same issue all morning, turns out my AVG was seeing V Rising as a threat and blocking it, even went so far as to quarantine it and remove the exe. Turned off my AVG protection, allowed it throug hthe windows firewall and can now start my own private server. Hope this helps someone.

RougeVermineHi again,

I've tried making an exception of VRising.exe and then V Rising Servers, I've also tried allowing V Rising through my firewall, but unfortunately I still cannot start a private server. I've restarted my computer in between as well, and I also deactivated my antivirus, but it still doesn't work.
Thanks for the info. -

RougeVermineHi again,
I managed to create a private game! I went on Steam and checked the integrity of the files, Steam told me that one file had to be reacquired. It's been downloaded and when I ran my game again I was able to make a server and actually play it with my partner!
If you have that problem, make an exception of V Rising server on your antivirus, then check your files integrity on Steam (right click on V Rising in your library and click Properties, then select Installed files and check integrity), then make your server on V Rising and make sure your firewall pop up and check the boxes that fits your need, and the server should run fine! -

WakitoTried checking the files after making an exception and it didn’t fix the issue. Whenever I try to make a private game I either get "Server Error" or "No response from remote host" even when launching fully offline.

Sergeant_KipishI have a slightly different problem, if I correctly understood what was written in the log, the game tried to create a server for it, it didn’t work out, it’s not clear why (I’m not a programmer), but everything just started connecting the client to the uncreated server (sorry for my English, this is Google translator)
