Phantom Aegis Cooldown not working
When casting Phantom Aegis during/soon after a main weapon attack, the cooldown glitches or it doesn't trigger at all. Tested with crossbow and spear. If used without weapon attacks it functions as expected cooldown-wise. Untested on weapon abilities, only weapon main attack. In order to reset, open up abilities menu and redrag Phantom Aegis into its slot

yohannes Mergedsometimes, I can't cast phantom aegis although the ability is not on cooldown. I then have to wait or use a weapon ability to make it work again.

mel MergedI have noticed multiple times that the Phantom Aegis ability will be off cooldown, but will not cast. My character is not silenced and can cast other abilities, but not Phantom Aegis. When I press the C button, nothing happens, I don't see any red numbers indicating the time left on cooldown, the ability just does not activate.

LPBSame problem - it seems like sometimes using a spell or weapon ability will make it start working again, but not always.

sojuits not just phantom aegis but also power surge. This seems most prevalent with ranged weapons for some reason. Like others said, same issue with not activating even though off CD.

Were you able to play the game before? No issue with other spells
What happens? Whether PA is mapped to the C key or another keybinding, it wouldn't trigger despite not being on cooldown. Other spells work when mapped to the same keybindings.
Have you modified your game files or installed any mods? No.
Can the devs reproduce the issue? How? I don't know. Try using the spell when fighting Grethel or Maja.
Have you tried any solutions? I remapped the spell to the R key and then the 7 key in order to use my mouse buttons, but the issue still happens. It seems to be a problem with just this spell.
For server issues, is the server Official / Public non-official / Private? Private.

BENJAMIN Mergedsometimes it doesnt trigger when i press the button it's attached to, even though its cooldown ended a long time back. sometimes i have to trigger another ability before it can be triggered again.

Concerned Vampirenot only Phantom Aegis is not reliably activating Power Surge had similar issues (Tried using it in combination with Blood Rage) and Ice Block did not activate even the first time after equiping it.

Concerned Vampiremy comment might no longer be valid since i found out that you have to be very close with the courser to your character for it to try targeting yourself.
Though I would love an option to have it auto select yourself so that it can be cast like blood rite or shields. -

Hamza MergedI have experienced this multiple times where I will be tapping the key for Phantom Aegis but the ability will not activate in combat during boss fights. Noticed it with my battle with the glass blower. However it works fine outside of combat.
Edit: It doesn't trigger outside of combat either at times -
