Rubberbanding / Stuttering on dedicated server.
BRANCH: Live
REPORT:
Started after Gloomrot update on a private, dedicated GPortal server without mods and with default PvE settings.
I was otherwise able to play before the patch without issue.
Today's hotfix appears to have helped but I still randomly start rubberbanding and stuttering, almost as if there's a lag spike. This occurs constantly for anywhere from a few seconds to minutes before it abates.
I cannot seem to reproduce it, and I have tried lengthening the autosave interval, restarting the game client, reinstalling the game client, restarting the server, as well as reaching out to the server host, Gportal who was confirmed receiving similar reports but offered no solutions.

For about 10 sec you start rubber banding all over, then server catches up and you are warp speed moving. Also happens when passing stuff into chests a lot.

WifeyWubs MergedBRANCH: None
REPORT:
Directly after Hotfix #3 was applied all members of the server began experiencing extreme rubberbanding and eventual disconnection from the server. No game files have been modified save for a few multiplier values in the ServerGameSettings.json files via the Multicraft website for Shockbyte. No mods have been added. Console files repeat the messages "INFO SteamLog [SDR k_ESteamNetworkingSocketsDebugOutputType_Warning] SteamNetworkingSockets lock held for X.Xms. (Performance warning.) ServiceThread,RecvUDPPacket(x3),SNP_SendPacket(x3),SendUDPacket(x3)" and"[Server] INFO This is usually a symptom of a general performance problem such as thread starvation." messages when issue occurs.
Have you tried any solutions?
Tried PC restart and Steam file verification, also tried stopping the server and starting it again on Multicraft.
Private server.

Bi0 MergedBranch: Live, dedicated online server
Hello
Since i bought this game in 2022 i have had rubberbanding and loss of connectivity issues. The issues were not permanent but came and went, sometimes i could play for hours without problems and on other occasions the game was unplayable due to heavy rubberbanding and frequent disconnects.
I started playing again 2 days ago. Right away i faced the same problems (heavy rubberbanding, initially every 30 seconds or so, with about 1 or 2 disconnects). After about an hour the issues went away and i have been able to play without issues until today. Today i am experiencing constant micro-stuttering/rubberbanding, about every other second, getting worse over time.
Several of my friends who have played last year now again never had any connection or rubberbanding issues.
I am playing on a brand new computer, just the same ISP. tried verifying and reinstalling. I use no mods. I can provide video evidence or screenshots.

Nahruque MergedI have a stable internet connection and an average speed (83 - 100 megabits per second), and the servers I choose are mostly under 50 ms ping. But even then, for some reason, I have a huge delay in my actions and rubberbanding, on any server. It started not so long ago, didn't experience it previously. What is more, there is no difference if I'm trying to play on an official or private server.

lilibatThis is still happening making the game unplayable. This happens on autosave. The change to NOT compress the saves has been made on our server.
Ping is <1ms and is on our internal network.
CPUs have plenty of resources left. -

SpazzHaving similar issue on a private hosted game. Rubberbanding is horrifyingly bad. And it's not infrequent, but constant.
Oddly enough, it's been getting worse over the weeks - when we first started on the server, no issues - but now... it's just unplayable. Difficult fights become impossible, due to missing shots, being 'yoinked' back into position after dodging, etc.
And can't find any online resources as to fixes.
Not sure if it's related, but on server side, console is spammed with "Thread Starvation" comments.
Issue seems to be across all players, at the same times. So, not isolated to any particular person or group, no exclusions. -

Vargamour MergedNot a major bug per se, but a bit of a performance issue. Friend and I just kind of went on a rampage in Brighthaven, and I think the amount of dropped loot and aggroed npcs made the game do a lot of rubberbanding and stuttering.

Raven GrimmLoads of Stuttering (no NPCs around) from purchase date (1 week prior to live release) to present. On both private and hosted servers. My husband hosts, only difference is he has double the RAM. I have zero issues BG3, Nightingale (Alpha Early Access), Elder Scrolls Online, GW2, Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, and Cyberpunk 2077. All on Ultra High settings. I went through High settings (started with that when I thought it would be similar to BG3 graphics) down to all setting on low, dropped FPS settings to 30fps, and everything turned off that I could toggle. With the settings as they are now, I have been getting motion sickness and eye strain.

Raven GrimmUpdate:
I tried a work around fix for the rubber banding and lag involving the Directory Files that has been added to many of these similar postings. Where it adds or changes the CompressSaveFiles line within the specific .json mentioned in the directions for the workaround. This changed my game from PvE to PvP and had the game listed as corrupted. It thankfully changed back to PvE and not marked as corrupted, but nothing changed for the game as far as the rubber banding and the lag. -

Raven GrimmEdit:
The game changed back to PvE after I removed the changed line in the file. While the game was "corrupted" it was unplayable. Checked on the off chance it was a false corruption.
