Black screen on start post update
REPORT:
Game boots to black screen on start. Issue started post update for May 25, 7:08PM AEST
Was able to play earlier today no issues. Update on start at 8:00PM, and now the game won't load, just get a black screen with build number in bottom right. No mods, no alterations made by to to game files.
Fixes tried:
PC restart and verify game file integrity. No dice.

Craig MergedSince the patch. When i load the game. The start screen flashes briefly. Then i get a black screen and have to close the game.

Jonathan MergedI can no longer play V Rising since the most recent update. The game will launch and the screen just goes black. I have tried everything including reinstalling my graphics drivers., etc. I need to request a refund if I am not going to able to p[lay a game i just bought. Its been playing great everyday until this update. Now im going to lose everything and its through no fault of my own.

Jesse Hacker MergedScreen goes black and all I can see is my curser. have to log out of game and come back in to get it to work.

ArnaudI have the same issue since the new patch on June 30st.
when I click PLAY, the game start, i have a black window and nothing happen. If i click the game closes before the cinematic starts. There is no message or crash pop ups. I could play the game without issues before this patch. I haven't modified my game files and haven't installed any mods.
I have tried verifying game files and restarting my PC and uninstall/ install again the game but I still get the same issue. -

Thilladon MergedHi there, here is my problem :
I get a black screen when trying to play the game, I had 0 problems to play the game before.
I first thought it was a driver problem, so I did it the hard way.
Fully format my second hard drive, then format the first one, and re install Windows and the game.
Still got the same problem after resetting.
When I get the black screen, the FAN goes on (I can hear them louder).
I can't get off the black screen and have to off / on my computer when this happens.
I have an RTX 2060 (Saw GPU can cause problems so if it helps). -

William G. MergedJust recently found and downloaded the game. First time trying to ever play the game, click on the shortcut, the game opens to a brief purple screen that looks like a loading screen, with music that starts playing. Within one second, the music stops, the screen goes black with just the version in the bottom right hand corner of the screen. It stays like this, I've even left it up for an hour and it doesn't change. I have Updated all drivers and systems, verified files, triple checked specifications. I have found one small help to add a line to a json file that allowed the loading screen to show, but music still stopped and leaving it on for 30 minutes still didn't leave the loading screen. Would love to be able to play this game, please help.
