Lamp posts / garden lanterns can't be placed close to iron fences

Lamp posts / garden lanterns should be able to be placed one step closer to iron fences. However, the game restricts this placement, despite viable space.
Enabling this placement would enhance the overall gardening experience. A marginal benefit of this would be to improve lighting in tight gardens (where you walk between medium-size plots). By providing additional illumination for smaller gardens, the overall aesthetic is enhanced.
Considering the value this adds to the gaming experience, I kindly request that this feedback be taken into consideration in a future update.
(Yes, this bug report has been generated in frustration from not being able to make my garden how I want it to be)
