I can't find the Blood Drain settings anywhere on a friends only server. Did they forget to add it?

The settings for the castle heart drain are reversed or written extremly confusing 0.25 is extreme drain and 3.0 is "no drain at all".

Seems to be draining a single blood essence every 2 minutes, regardless of the setting, manually changing it to 0.1 or 0.25 (lowest it can be natively in the in-game settings) doesn't fix it.

Same problem, only I'm losing 1 blood essence every 45 seconds instead of 2 minutes. Currently set to .1 in server settings.

Addendum: It appears the blood drain rate setting is inverted presently. Temporary fix is to maximize the slider/setting until the disparity between description and code is rectified.

Yep, server settings seems to be bugged. Time displayed is not equivalent to the time the Castle Heart is consuming Blood essence. Setting it to 0 and it still consumes Blood essence

Very much in a buggy state. Cowntdowns will freeze/skip/change even if you don't adjust the config values.

Setting it to 5 seems to freeze it however the numbers are constantly changing.

I have encountered this bug as well. My G-portal server is set to 0.1 drain and it drains as if its is vanilla settings which is about 1 essence a minute. I launched a private game and set the blood essence drain to the lowest it allows in game settings which is 0.25 and the drain is the same. The heart displays the correct time the essence should last but the drain is still the same off-screen. i will check my heart again in 30 seconds and one essence will have drained and the timer will have lost hours of time left in mere seconds.

There are 2 different issues regarding drain rate, details are important, the title of this post could imply 2 things: Blood Essence Drain Rate and Blood Drain Rate. Most of the comments here seem to be talking about the bug with the former, regarding the castle heart.

There is also a second issue: the option that we had previously: Blood Drain Rate for your character seems to be gone altogether from the tweakable settings ingame. Would really like that back.

Since the other blood drain bug post seems to be primarily talking about the castle heart blood essence drain rate, I decided to post this one separately.

As title states, this server setting to adjust your characters blood drain rate is gone from the in game UI.

Unsure yet if adding BloodDrainModifier to the ServerGameSettings.json file in the saves is doing anything. If anybody has tested please let me know.

Same. 90% of settings are not working. blood drain is set to .01 and is draining like its maxed out to drain as fast as possible. throw blood in says 7 days and is gone in 7 seconds.

thank you. I was just about to report this bug. Seems worse when you log out. I put enough blood into my heart for it to last 6 days 11 hrs and 13 minutes. logged out for an hour and it is down to 5 days 20 hrs and 49 minutes.

I've fiddled with the settings a bit, the "BloodDrainModifier": 1.0 is not related to the CastleHeart, i think, rather to the blood loss from your vampire.

Castle heart settings are called "CastleBloodEssenceDrainModifier": 1.0, With this setting on default (1.0) resulting in 8 minutes per blood essence. With a setting lowered (say 0.5) it takes 4 minutes per essence. That said however, if you have more than a SINGLE blood essence in the heart, the tooltip gets wonky, showing weird numbers, much greater than actual time. Which results in "jumps" in time because every X minutes, it actually "reduces" the tooltip by a lot more than X.

In my example im using 0.2 as the value. 96 seconds per essence. Wehn i put 1 essence it says 1:36 (exactly right), if i put 2 essence it says 40 minutes, 3 essence = 1.5 hours, etc. But every 96 seconds (when the heart actually spends essence), it drops down by 40 minutes, until it is finally at the last essence which displayes the tooltip properly.

I am playing on a personal server and have set the Castle Heart to decay very slowly, but the opposite seems to be happening. The timer read 19h(ours), 14m(inutes), and when the seconds hit 0, it went down to 18h(hours), 43m(minutes), and in the time it took to type this, has gone to 18h, 8m, to 17h, 14m.

Will have to test and see if this happens with normal Castle Heart settings.

No mods are presently being used. 1.0 live.

Edit: read through some other bugs and seems the Heart drain wording is reversed or there was a misunderstanding. This may have been caused by user error.

Edit 2: nope, definitely doesn't seem to be reversed or misunderstood. I swapped the setting and it made it so the castle only had an hour left before decay. So yeah, the timer seems to skip sporadically no matter what setting you have it on.

This is a severely delibitating setting for large servers. I banned someone yesterday a few hours into the wipe and their base is STILL there today. (and we were set to a 5x Rate of Castle Drain Blood Essence) Our castle blood drain is draining so slow, bases will likely last weeks without any additions of blood.

Our server right now is COMPLETELY full base location wise, and half the players aren't even active likely anymore. If this isn't fixed asap large servers will drop rapidly in activity as no new players can join effectively slow the activity to a halt.

I have same issue plus unfortunately I lost an entire castle because it wasn't fed - I have castle decay at 0 - so that's not working either.
