Salvar MergedAfter the 1.0 update the textures of terrain and textures that should not be there keep glitching out, blocking my vision, making the game unplayable.

Tried changing every setting, verifing files, reseting settings, restarting, redownloading, reinstaling my graphics drivers.
Later I also tried reinstaling previous versions of the game and everything worked fine so it seem it is strictly a problem with the 1.0 version
PC specs:

radeon 6650 xt
HyperX Fury Black 8GB DDR4 3200 CL16 x2

In the logs it looks like HDRP is borking out:
"D3D shader create error for pixel shader [0x80070057]
ShaderProgram is unsupported, but because jobified rendering is enabled the ShaderProgram can not be removed.
UnityEngine.Rendering.HighDefinition.HDRenderPipeline:Render(ScriptableRenderContext, List`1)
UnityEngine.Rendering.RenderPipelineManager:DoRenderLoop_Internal(RenderPipelineAsset, IntPtr, Object)"
Rust (game) afaik uses HDRP and works fine here, as was the game pre 1.0 -

AliceHiya! Having this same issue. Basically looks as though a million rocks are popping in and out of existence in front of the camera at all times making it near impossible to see. Fought through the first like, graveyard area after spawning in the crypt hoping that maybe it was just the very opening bit that was messed up but the moment I tried loading into the forest the game crashed.

Kiz AdminGreetings players,
We are from V Rising Support Team and we sincerely apologize for these issues.
We would like to recommend a temporary workaround while the team is looking into this. When encountering these issues, please try to restart the game and see if it will fix the graphics issues. -

BriseisThese issues can't be fixed by restarting the game or changing the graphic settings.

Cal+1 to Salvar's experience, including attempted workarounds. Game ran fine pre 1.0 for over 100 hours on Windows 7.
6
Texture culling broke with 1.0 launch and persists between restarts and all setting changes.
(I tried launching the same save on a Windows 10 machine with sub-minimum hardware and the graphical issue was absent)
Issue may coincide with a dependency losing support on Windows 7, so if anyone has encountered this on a different OS, please call it out. -

RelkinSame thing happening to me with the flickering floors and the whole area are just walls/rocks/boulders flicking in and out around me with barely anything else rendering. Pretty sure its because we all have windows 7. i was able to play this game fine before version 1.0. i did try deleting the v1 v2 v3 settings and verifying files on steam but i have not restarted my pc.

sohjinnI'm having the same issue. As i'm fairly certain this is a software issue, i'm not going to bother posting specs. I had a very similar issue with another game i bought on steam recently and it turned out to be an update to unity that effectively boxed out all windows versions prior to 10, so as a windows 7 user it was a no go. My feeling is that since the game's minimum requirements are now windows 10 that V Rising is doing a similar thing; i.e. ending windows 7 support by upgrading their engine. I truly hope this isn't the case as we can almost certainly kiss any support goodbye if it is. I've had the game since the beginning of early access and can say that it worked perfectly fine at least until v0.6.5, and is now completely unplayable. Here's hoping i'm wrong.

BattlingBaconNot sure if this will help, but I first encountered this issue during the Gloomrot update after I reset my PC and wiped my drive. Before wiping my PC I never had the issue. It continued until I got my 4090, and it has not happened since. The GPU it happened for me with was a 7900XTX. Restarting the game typically fixed the bug, but sometimes it would immediately come back after restarting, or sometimes I wouldn't see it again for at least a day. I never tried resetting my PC again to see if it went away.
I had a 7800X3D CPU, 7900XTX GPU, 32GB DDR5 and played the game on a fast NVMe SSD (Samsung 980 Plus I think) -

KakaBubuGot the same issue with my old pc windows 7 64 bit, geforce 1060. Could it be due to the Unity update from Gloomrot to 1.0?

I would not expect magic fix for a platform that is not supported anymore either by steam or by microsoft. -
yesterday
sohjinnI'm certain it was the unity update as this has happened on other games for me. It's because unity no longer supports dx 10/11 or windows 7 and a lot of games use unity in some form or fashion. I can confirm that if you are running V rising on steam, that you can use the beta feature to rollback your game to version 0.6 (the previous version before 1.0) and the game runs just fine, albeit without endgame content (no dracula area). So if you're a windows 7 user like me your options are a pre-1.0 game that works but will never update, or a graphics buggy mess that's basically unplayable.
