Cannot apply wallpaper to Castle Entrance with 'Barrier' Entrance Block

As the title says, wallpaper cannot be applied to a Castle Entrance that contains a 'Barrier' Entrance Block. The entrance does not highlight on mouseover and clicking does nothing. Removing the 'Barrier' Entrance Block allows interaction with the Castle Entrance, after which the 'Barrier' Entrance Block can be replaced.
Using the Fill command from a connected segment does allow the Castle Entrance to be styled without removing the 'Barrier' Entrance Block, but a Fill cannot be performed from the Castle Entrance with the 'Barrier' Entrance Block in place.
