VAMPIRE HORSE DIED, CAN'T REMOVE STAIRS

The previous owner of this plot vampire horse died in now MY castle after weeks of standing there and me unable to get rid of the horse, now i can't remove the stairs because it says there is a unit there, i only see the horse for 1 milisecond when joining then it disappears, but still can't remove the stairs!!!!!
