Private server time out connection and disconnect when a player leaves
Our rented server has been having issues and have worked with them to try to fix the issues. They have updated the wine and even moved us to a different machine.
They suggested to reported it here.
So we were playing with custom settings no mods and at some point people would randomly disconnect and become unable to connect. We would need to restart the server. After a week of this it was almost unplayable as the server would kick anyone out after 20-40 minutes. We then wiped the server which only fixed half the problems. We would be able to remain on the server for 24+ hours but if anyone were to disconnect they would need the server to restart as they would always get time out on continue or a direct connection.
The consistent problem we noticed was that if specific players would disconnect it would disconnect everyone. With the added issue of everyone getting timeout when trying to relog we would essentially need to restart the server each time.
