Megara did not appear after my last death. Only her tail remained.

When I died, I rage quit (Alt + F4). When I came back the next day, Megara was gone, but her tail was still there, and I can’t deal any damage to it. I reset the game, let myself get killed, etc., but nothing works. Megara just got offended and disappeared.
I’m not using any mods; this is a clean version of the game from December 27, 2k27.
