Connection Times Out and Crash in path between Oakveil Woodlands and Gloomrot North

While playing on my private server, my friend and I cannot enter the path between Oakveil and Gloomrot North. I have ensured my drivers are updated, verified my game files, lowered my graphics settings, and done a fresh reinstall and nothing has fixed it.
It doesn't matter whether I enter from the east or western side of that particular pass, or if I am the only one playing at the time. It always crashes as soon as I get to that area, but no other area has this issue.
