After closing game steam still thinks it's runnnig and can't start it again
As described in title.
I can run game from steam and it's working fine.
When I close game steam still does not recognize it's closed and it's in running state. When I click in steam to close it, state is closing forever.
After that I cannot start V rising as steam thinks it already running.
The workaround is to restart steam, however restarting steam every time I want to play is not what I want to do.

aly MergedAfter updating version 1.1, the game fails to start normally. When clicking to start the game on steam, it will stop running directly before any interface is displayed.
My computer configuration meets the minimum requirements (R53600X, Gtx970, 16GBram), the graphics card driver is the latest, the C++ runtime library has also been updated, and I have verified the integrity of the game files and deleted the files in the Settings according to the guide. However, the game still cannot start normally. -

RexxaDid you guys have any mods installed? BepinEX has depreciated with this update, so if you have that or any other mods installed in your game directory (mod managers are a separate thing) you will need to delete them.
Trying to start the game with Bepin installed will cause this error, though it may not be the specific cause of the error in general. -

Filippa AdminHello!
It seems two separate issues were merged into each other here by accident. We apologize for the inconvenience. Let me answer both of you!
Regarding Steam still thinking the game is running:
This might happen if the server did not close down correctly, were you the host of the server?
If yes, please send the following files in an email to logs@playvrising.com :
-The Player-server.log file
-The Player-server-prev.log file
(both are located here: %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising (this path can be copy pasted into your file explorer))
This will help us identify why the server may not be closing down correctly. -

Filippa AdminRegarding the game closing down before any interface is displayed:
In order to investigate this issue further we need some more information.
Please send the following files in an email to logs@playvrising.com :
-The Player.log file
-The Player-prev.log file
(both are located here: %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising (this path can be copy pasted into your file explorer))
Thank you both for helping us tracking down the causes of these issues! -

Filippa AdminHi Tomasz,
I checked the logs you sent, but I could unfortunately not see any indication of what may be causing the issue.
Please follow these steps and send the resulting file to logs@playvrising.com :
1. Start V Rising on Steam
2. Open the Task Manager (for example via pressing Ctrl + Alt + Delete and selecting the "Task Manager" option)
3. Locate the V Rising process in the Task Manager under the "Apps" section
4. Right-click the V Rising process and select "Create memory dump file". This should generate a DMP file. Note that this file can be quite large (several gigabytes).
Thank you for helping us track down the cause of this issue! -

Filippa AdminHi Aly,
I checked the logs you sent, and I could see that the game appears to crash when it is setting up input. Are you playing on a controller, or on a keyboard and mouse?
Please try the following:
-Start the game without any input devices connected
-Ensure all input device drivers are up to date
It would also be very helpful if you could send the following file to logs@playvrising.com :
-The crash .dmp file, located in one of the following locations:
a) %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Stunlock Studios\VRising\backtrace\crashpad\reports
b) %tmp%\Stunlock Studios\VRising\Crashes
Thank you for helping us track down the cause of this issue! -
