  I was having this same issue. Last step of troubleshooting fixed my problem. Validate the files via steam. I had 5 that failed to validate and were reacquired. Fixed my problem. Hope this helps!
  
  
  
  -What exactly is happening? Game crashes as soon as I hit "continue" or attempt to load a save
  -What were you doing before the issue occurred?
  -When did the issue start? Was it after a specific update or event? 5/7/25 after today's patch
  -Have you modified your game files or installed any mods? no
  
  
  Troubleshooting attempts:
  -Restarting PC didn't work; restarting steam didn't work
  -Updated graphics card drivers - nvidia driver version 576.28; still crashing
  -Confirm that your PC meets the minimum system requirements: game previously worked. specs: Win11 Home OS, AMD Ryzen 5 7640HS, GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Laptop GPU, 16GB Ram, 1Tb SSD (plenty available), DirectX12
  -Deleted "v4" folder, no other folders existed; didn't work
  -Verified game files via Steam: verified integrity - 5 files failed to

  I got home and was prompted with a new update. My friend and I also host a server. We've updated our game plus the server and now when I try to log in, the minute I click on join a game, the game crashes. Keep in mind before this hotfix the game was working fine for me. My friend and the server are working fine.
  
  I tried restarting my laptop, steam and the game several times. As well as try joining different multiplayer and solo private servers and still the same results in my game crashing.

  -The crash .dmp file, which should be located in one of the following locations:

  same problem.
  Verified files, all files were good.
  rebooting did nothing.
  windows 10, geforce 3060, 16 gb ram, couple tb storage available.
  trying to load private save. no fancy server or anything and only get 1/3 into first load bar.

  think I did something wrong when deleting files per the help pages instructions. I went and un installed the game. re installed it and things are working again. gonna chalk it up to user error on my part trying to fix the problem. hope this helps others.
