Potential Dusk Caller bug
Disclaimer: I play on a bloodcraft server, but this seems to be a base game bug.
Twice now, upon using a dusk caller with adequate space in my castle, it will fail to teleport the dominated mob. I will, however, be transformed back to normal while the follower remains.
From a normal state, if I transform back into dominate form, I become stuck in that form until I walk the mob back to my prison or it dies. I cannot use a dusk caller because the game states I have no follower. I cannot change out of dominate form because the game states I have a follower.

Kraken MergedI subdued a 100% worker from the werewolf village up by the Cursed Forest, then used a Dusk Caller to transport them back. When I got back however, I couldn't find them at first. Turned out they were in the cell but invisible.
When interacting with any of the feed options, it would go through the motions showing the timer on the selection option but nothing would happen E.g. health wouldn't go up when fed a Fat Goby
Waited until day to see if their werewolf form was just bugged, but no change. Subdued them from the cell to move them to another to see if that might fix it, but they appear to no longer exist and there's was nothing to imprison.
Potential factor(s):
-Used Dusk Caller right before it changed to nighttime
-Attempts to feed were from mats stored in treasury room
Next time I play I will try testing to see if I can replicate it and/or if they're fine if I don't use Dusk Caller. Picture is of them invisible in the cell, at night, after attempting to feed them th -

IKingsIayerI MergedThis issue seems new today (5/6/25). Upon using dusk caller, about half the time I use it, the NPC is "teleported" but when I arrive at my castle, the prison cell "containing" the NPC visually looks empty (if the NPC is there, it is invisible), but registers upon inspection that the NPC is in the prison cell. Upon logging out and back in, the prison cell becomes actually empty (losing the NPC). Trying to subdue the NPC "works" in that the prison cell lets you click the button, but this also loses the NPC as it results in no follower and an empty prison cell.

dvbbI just used 3 dusk callers on 3 different folks. 2/3 of my dusk callers worked as expected sending the dominated thing to prison cell, 1/3 consumed the dusk caller and the dominated person flew away.... into a different dimension, as they did not go to my prison and they are now gone forever.

CodaMezzo MergedWhen I Dusk stoned a prisoner, they were transported to a cell without a model. When I went to dominate them by subduing them, they disappeared and could not be put back into the cell.
After restarting the game and checking all cells within my clan they have disappeared.
Prior to the Dusk stone I took a prisoner out of a cell and dismantled the cells within one castle, to guarantee they teleported to another castle. I found this confusing because I did this to two prisoners but only one had the bug happen to them. -

Kessie MergedThe first time a Night Lurker prisoner is subdued from its cell, it becomes invisible as it does in Cursed Forest. Initially follows player as normal, and transferred to new castle prison successfully with Dusk Caller. In new castle, the Lurker is still invisible and the prison cell registers the prisoner. If subdued from the prison menu again, it's no longer recognized. Icon for active NPC dominated was active, but Lurker was not visible and did not follow player. While subdued, no prison cell registered that there was an NPC to imprison. No player following confirmed when Lurker killed to release dominate spell, Lurker appeared in the cell it was supposed to be taken from.
No mods installed.
Private server on G-Portal, most recent update both on G-Portal and client side. -

Nova Merged-What exactly is happening?
I have had a 98 corrupted prisoner and a 89 draculin prisoner both not appear in an empty cell after using a dusk caller. The game registers that they're there but they're not visible. If I try to subdue them again whilst they're invisible (I wanted to make them servants) it bugs out and I'm then stuck in dominate and the only way to get out is to kill the invisible prisoner. Relogging also doesn't make them show and just empties the cell altogether losing the prisoner. It's very frustrating finding high quality blood to lose them to this glitch that still hasn't been fixed for multiple expansions now..
-What were you doing before the issue occurred?
Killing monsters in both the new corrupted zone and then the draculin area farming loot.
-When did the issue start? Was it after a specific update or event?
This has only been the last 24 hours. 2 prisoners in that timeframe.
-Have you modified your game files or installed any mods?

JBI've lost two of my last three dominated humans when using Dusk Callers to transport them to available prison cells in my castle. They never arrive. One was 100% blood quality. Super frustrating.

Bob MergedI have 2 bugs that may be related.
1.) I dominated an 86 Worker and TP'd him home. When I visited his cell, his model was not there but the cell interface showed as if he was (I could Subdue, Kill, or Feed him). When I tried to Subdue, his cell interface updated as if he was out of prison but he was not out (I couldn't convert him into a servant, I was able to subdue a different prisoner).
2.) The Release Target spell is now stuck on my 1st spell slot. I tried switching my spells around, going into other vampire forms. It's still there.
I've tried restarting my PC and the private server that we rented. Nothing's worked.
Update: I held the Release Target to "kill" the non-existing dominated target and that got rid of the 2nd issue. I still don't know what happened to cause the invisible prisoner (which I presume was the main cause of this whole thing).

Ginger MergedAfter using the Dusk Caller to transport a dominated victim, the victim gets transported as it should. Once inside the castle to pay a visit to the new prisoner, the prisoner is invisible and can't be fed or tapped for blood. Once subdued to move to a different cell or place in a coffin, the prisoner disappears like it didn't exist to begin with. I have tried this with both creatures and humans.
I found no issue when physically walking a subdued victim to the nearest prison cell. The new prisoner can be interacted with and moved between empty prison cells or to a coffin when transported in this way. -

Its happened with me today when "transferring" prisoners from a castle prison to another castle prison. 2 from 9 prisoners not arrived, the prisons seems empty, only see the prisoners when interact with the cage, but disappeared totally after tried to subdue them to escort to coffin. Never found them anymore. Additionally the "Release target" command stuck into my spell bar even if I changed stance to anything from "Dominate"This happened only after the 1.1 comes out. -

CraigSimilar issue. I used a dusk caller to send a ~80 ish Temptress back to base. Animation played and the mod disappeared. When I went back to the cage, the mob read as there but was invisible.
-When using subdue, I removed the mob from the cage, the mob was reported as removed in the cage UI, but no visible mob was following me. In the UI it showed the kill command on the R key so some part of the mob was registered as subdued.
-While still in the subdued state, I went to the servant coffin to convert but it didn't report the mob as following me. The servant coffin was clear like I had no mob subdued.
-When switching to wolf form and normal, the UI kept the kill command in wolf form on the R key. Dominate replaced the R ability, but it returned to kill when switching.
-When attempting to interact with the prison and servant coffin again, both UI elements were clear like there was no subdued mob. To clarify I'd not checked the prison UI since I removed the ghost mob from the prison. -

Gabriel MergedEverytime I use Dusk Caller it does nothing.
I've tried twice from different zones and blood types and my Dusk Callers don't work. The Dusk Caller are consumed and the animation ends. I have two empty prisons. This happened in different computers so it wouldn't be a files or computer problem.
Troubleshooting tried:
-I have not modified any game files or installed mods.
This occurs on a simple in-game private server and I've only played alone on such server.

Evalater MergedI used a duck caller on a pocket host server and instead of sending the prisoner to my prison cell it disappeared with the whole animation finishing. When I checked the prison cell the prisoner was not in the prison cell but interacting with the cell would show data as though the prisoner was there. That was yesterday logged in today after restarting the server hoping to fix the situation and instead the prison cell is recognized as empty.

ScarrUsed a Dusk Caller on a 100% Corrupted NPC and it sent it to the wrong base but it DID make it to a prison cell. Went to that base, subdued them from the cage to my current dominated prisoner, deleted the prison cells in THAT BASE and then used a second Dusk Caller to try and send them to my main base. The Dusk Caller was consumed, it appeared the 100% Corrupted Prisoner flew in the direction of my main base where I intended.
I went to my base to check, and there was no visible NPC that should have been there. I interacted with Prison Cells and found them invisible in a cage but nothing operated as it should, when I subdued them to pull them from the Prison Cage they vanished. -

Kat MergedI've tried twice now to obtain servants from the spider cacoons and transport them to my house. Both times, I brought a few dusk callers and was able to successfully use the item and transport back 3 villagers at a time. However, upon returning to my base, the cells for all 3 villagers were empty. This being a pve server with friends, I made sure to check that all other occupied territories didn't have any empty cells, which they did not. Only my property had empty cells, and both the villagers and the dusk caller item were used yet never yielded results.

Quin MergedUsed duskcaller on 100 percent alchemist. The alchemist showed inside prison but isnt visible. tried to feed the prisoner, health bar does not go up but consumes fish. Used the subdue power to try to fix the bug and put the prisoner back in the cage, but now the prison doesnt recognize that i have a prisoner subdued. the only option left is to use the r button to kill the subdued prisoner.

Darkness2k MergedI successfully dominated an Unstable Spider before it detonated, but after using the rune stone to teleport it to a prison - it wasn't there when I checked later.
Is this a known issue with the Unstable Spider specifically, or with potentially "spawned in creatures" that come out of things like destroyed egg sacs? -

Kacper MergedAfter freeing a villager from a spider cocoon and dominating them, then using the bats to transport them to the nearest prison, the villager disappears into the ether never to be seen again. I had more than 5 empty prison cells waiting for the villager and they did not populate the cells. Tried it with 3 spider villagers and not one of them appeared. Normal villagers from farms or towns work normally.

TorThis is an ongoing issue. I just (with Hot Fix 7 deployed) used a dusk caller on a 100% worker in the silver mine, and he vanished as normal and never reappeared in my (only) castle (which is in the middle of Dunley). No indication that the worker was ever visible in the prison cage or anything.
I have verified local files today, after Hot Fix 7 was installed. -

penjayeIn a private game with 3 players in a clan, today we started experiencing this issue, when previously dusk callers had worked fine. Now, any time any of the 3 players uses a dusk caller on any dominated target (we used random workers for testing), the target does not appear in any unoccupied cells. They are not there but invisible; I checked every cell, and none of the empty-looking ones are occupied. They're just gone.
